Kayla Agtuca’s main instrument is the piano, which she has been playing for 16 years, and her secondary instrument is the bass clarinet, which she has been playing for 13 years. Both instruments have brought her many opportunities throughout her musical career. She has participated in SCMEA each year from 2000 to 2005, including All-County and All-State on bass clarinet in 2005. These accomplishments, as well as participating in Gemini Youth Orchestra and USDAN, prepared her for her college experience. Since June 2011, she has been teaching piano and giving voice lessons at Atlantic Instruments in Massapequa, New York.
All of these opportunities have created a passionate love for music, which will strengthen and enrich her future as a teacher.
